Open Rate - Your open rate is simply the number recipients who opened your HTML e-mails. It is typically measured as a percentage of the total number of e-mails sent, although calculation methods may differ. The open rate is considered a useful metric for judging response to an e-mail campaign but it should be noted that open rates for text e-mails can’t be calculated and some e-mail clients don't display images as a default which would under report your total number of opens.

Above the Fold - The bottom of your browser window or the bottom of your e-mail before you have to start scrolling is commonly referred to as the “fold”. These viewable areas should be where your most important information should be located since it's the first thing your viewer will see.

Preview Pane - E-mail programs like Microsoft Outlook, Entourage, and Mac Mail allow users to view e-mail through a preview pane before your recipient clicks to open. The preview pane is important to bear in mind when composing the opening lines of an e-mail so you can get your recipient's attention fast.

Copy - Your copy is simply the text of the e-mail you write.

Hosted E-mail - A hosted version of an e-mail allows users to view the e-mail message as a web page, ensuring that all formatting remains intact. Hosted versions of your e-mail are also great for you to send your Twitter and Facebook followers to when you launch your campaign.

Spoofing - E-mail spoofing involves forging a sender's address on e-mail messages. It can be used by malicious individuals to mislead e-mail recipients into reading and responding to deceptive mail. These fake messages can jeopardize the online privacy of consumers and damage the reputation of the companies purported to have sent the messages. Spoofed email often contains phishing scams.

Phishing - In a phishing scam, a spammer, posing as a trusted party such as a bank or reputable online vendor, sends e-mail messages directing recipients to web sites that appear to be official but are in reality fraudulent. Visitors to these web sites are asked to disclose personal information, such as credit card numbers, or to purchase counterfeit or pirated products.

Targeting - Targeting gives you the ability to deliver e-mails to those most likely to respond to your e-mails, based on a variety of things like their geographic, demographic, psychographic and behavioural information.

Whitelists - Whitelists are usually created by an ISP (internet service provider) and are made up of commercial emailers (including ESPs) who have been approved to send email through their gates. The ISP requires a list of IP (internet protocol) addresses that e-mail will be sent from, and in some cases a test period where the commercial e-mailer will be approved or rejected.

Web Friendly Fonts - Almost all web browsers are capable of displaying four primary fonts properly: Times, Arial, Helvetica, and Verdana, as well as their variants (Arial Narrow, Times New Roman, etc.) If a web developer decides to stray from one of these fonts he or she risks browser compatibility problems and the prospect that their pages may render inaccurately when viewed through certain web browsers.

Studies show that 77% of men do not intake enough magnesium and that many of them were deficient in potassium, iodine and vitamin D and B12. Pills aside, many of us are not incorporating enough of the right nutrients in our bodies. Here are five essential nutriets to include in your diets.

Vitamin D

Vitamin D is well known to strengthen bones but it also prevents inflammation in arteries reducing the risk of a heart attack or stroke. Humans get vitamin D naturally from the sun but those who live in areas with long winters are prone to being deficient. Foods that have vitamin D include many fishes like tuna and salmon and milk-based products.

Magnesium

Without enough magnesium, every cell in your body has to struggle to generate energy. -- Dana King, M.D., Medical University of South Carolina
Magnesium is involved in over 300 bodily processes and deficiencies have found to increase the risk of heart disease. Magnesium-rich foods include halibut and navy beans but look specifically for magnesium citrate, which is the form that is most easily absorbed by the body.

Vitamin B12

Vitamin B12 is all about the brain. A British study found that older people with the lowest levels of vitamin B12 lost brain volume at a faster rate over five years that those with high levels. Vitamin B12 is found boudn to protein in meats like lamb and fish like salmon. However, the most common source of B12 is from fortified cereals.

Potassium

Potassium helps your cells use the sugar glucose for energy. This process is perhaps the most significant in the body as it cannot function without energy. It also helps to lower blood pressure which is important because of Western society's sodium-rich diet. Vegetables are great sources of potassium. Bananas boast 400 mg of potassium however do not even come close to the 1,600 mg of potassium found in one potato.

Iodine

Iodine is used by the thyroid gland to produce hormones that control how your body burns calories. For the many out there looking for solutions to their weight-loss problems iodine may solve the source of the problem all alone. Most people get their iodine from iodinized salt however, as mentioned previously with potassium, our sodium-rich diets arleady do much harm in raising blood pressures. Fortunately iodine is also already common consumed through milk and eggs.

While we're on the topic of music in Mario, here are some more cool Super Mario music videos.

And of course Vadrum's Super Mario series. My favourite has to be his Super Mario Bros. II mix.

The Tea Party "movement" among the Right in the United States has drawn intense media attention while serving as merely an oddball collection of fiscal conservatives and the extreme socio-religious Right. These shirt designs from imvotingteaparty.com appeal to both sides. Teabaggers can where them proudly on the streets while everyone else can where them ironically in disdain.

Market Penetration Pricing Strategy

If a manager wishes to capture a significant market share or achieve a high sales volume upon the product’s introduction then he or she can utilize penetration pricing . This strategy dictates a low initial entry price, below competitors and the eventual market price, to steal low-end market share. Penetration pricing can result in a faster diffusion and adoption of a new product while disrupting competitor forecasts and marketing. When the firm is explicitly trying to price out competition to form a monopolistic market the firm can be accused of predatory pricing which is illegal in most countries. However, the line separating penetration pricing from predatory pricing is blurry at best and often difficult to prove. However, customers may form long-term expectations of low prices from the product or inferior quality due to the lower price. Furthermore, it has been debated that penetration pricing does not generate consumer loyalty and rather attracts only price-sensitive customers that will consume whichever product is the lowest-priced. This strategy is usually most effective when demand for the product is highly elastic, the market is large enough to justify a mass market, or if there are substantial economies of scale to be had in production.

An alternative to penetration pricing is a sales promotion that offers an initial discount on the product which is set at its long-term market price.
