Louis Wain drew cats all his life for calendars, albums, postcards,...etc. until Schizophrenia slowly took over his life and forced him into a psychiatric institution. Wain continued to draw cats as his psychosis progressed which provided a puzzling glimpse into his changing mental state. Beware: It's fucking trippy.

Fascinating post. Interesting how his drawings got more and more abstract. Almost psychedelic.
Yes it reminds me of people's descriptions of their multi-dimensional trips while on DMT. If this isn't a coincidence it really makes you wonder what the connection is between psychedelics and mental illness.
